Book Review~ Furious Rush by S.C. Stephens

4 Furious Rush Stars!!

OMG wow! I just couldn’t put this book down.  I loved EVERYTHING about this book! Ms. Stephens you nailed Furious Rush I didn’t want it to end!!

The characters in Furious Rush were amazing.  They were NOTHING like the characters in other books by S.C. Stephens. I didn’t feel a need to throat punch anyone.

Mackenzie Cox is an up can coming motorcycle racer for Cox racing, that’s ran and owed by her father. She soon fines out that the future of Cox racing all fall on her winning some major races her first year. Mackenzie is quick witted and doesn’t take anything from anyone. She is quick with putting someone in their place if they come out of the mouth wrong.

“For the hundredth time, don’t call me honey, sweetheart, baby cakes or sugar pie.”

Hayden Hayes is an up and coming motorcycle racer for Benetti Motorsports, Cox racing biggest rival team.  Hayden is a cocky street racer who knows how to push all of Mackenzie’s bottoms in both good and bad ways.

The more these 2 race they start to realize that they bring out the best in each other while on and off the track.  They more time they spend together the more they start to realize that there is something more there then just the competition. However their new friendship is forbidden due to the team rival but they just can’t stay away from each other.

Will Hayden and Mackenzie be able to stay away from each other? Will Mackenzie be able to save Cox Racing or will this be the end of the family racing legacy?

“Race me or chase me, Hayes.”

Why did I wait SOO long to read/listen to this… IT was HILARIOUS and ORGASMIC!!!

I loved Trey/Taryn all the side characters even Selma and especially Greta!

“Taryn, are you even listening to me?
“I pretended to, so let that be enough”

“I’d never purposely hurt you. Never. I’m a man which means I’ll fuck up. Regularly. I’m not good with words, I spout crap when I’m angry, and I’m about as romantic as a pebble. But…See, I’m not good with words. All I can say is you’re important to me in a way I can’t explain or understand. More important to me than anything else.”

“Who does this pussy belong to?”
“Shut the fuck up, Trey, and make me come.”
He thrust his fingers deep and again she bucked and cried out. “Whose is it, Taryn?”
“As I’m the one who cleans it, waxes it, keeps it tidy and has it medically checked, I’d say it’s mine. But you can borrow it if you like.”

Book Review~ All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood

All the Ugly and Wonderful ThingsAll the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Completely and utterly consumed me!

I fell in love with these two characters completely, while I should have felt more outrage, more uncomfortable, I didn’t at all. This is Wavy and Kellen’s story of how something beautiful can come out of some life’s harshest realities. Wavy’s mother was a WACKO, druggie and her father Liam (who hated her) was a drug dealer. Kellen is part of the crew for Liam and he meets 8yr old Wavy in an unexpected way. Kellen isn’t your typical hero, he isn’t drop dead sexy, 6 pack, rich or even truly hygienic. It was also said he was a “little slow”. He felt for this little girl that was being neglected, emotionally abused, a mother to her baby brother and basically starved. He stepped in all roles for Wavy and Donal, brother, father and friend, someone she could truly count on. He was her hero in all ways! I won’t go into their journey more, it needs to be experienced to be truly felt as the author intended.

Wavy and Kellen’s story was told in multiple POV’s which for me can make or break a book. This case it gave you more insight into the story and especially how they were perceived by others around them. The writing was breathtaking, moving and will stay with me forever, although it might not be for everyone.
